The Arctic Tasting is a delicious and adventurous event that will take you to the Northern food culture. This event invites you to taste local producers, restaurants and delicacies – flavours born in the Arctic and prepared with great passion.
Restaurants and cafés will compete to create the most delicious tasting menu. The winner will be decided when customers get to vote for their favourite – every taste experience can make a difference!
The event celebrates the richness and expertise of northern food culture, offering savoury and sweet treats to enjoy at lunchtime or in the evening. During the Arctic Tasting, you will have the opportunity to tour different restaurants and taste their creations over several days. Each dish brings out the values of the Arctic Food Lab: local ingredients, unique flavours and nuances of the northern culinary tradition.
The Arctic Tasting is not just a local celebration – it is growing and internationalising towards the 2026 Capital of Culture year, when the flavours of the North will conquer ever larger audiences.

Arctic Tasting 2025
The Arctic Tasting is back again in September!
This year’s Arctic Tasting will take place from 24 to 27 September 2025.
The restaurant that is voted by the public as having created the tastiest dish will be awarded a prize and receive fame and glory. In recent years, thousands of lucky people have had the chance to taste the tasting dishes that have taken part in the Arctic Tasting.
