About us

Vegeelia Oy is a company founded in 2019 specializing in peeling and dicing root vegetables in Siikalatva, Kestilä. Vegeelia is a local operator that buys, stores, peels and packages conventionally grown root vegetables from the region. For it´s part, the company supports the diversification of arable farming and produces fresh raw materials for food companies. Bio waste from the peeling of root vegetables is delivered to a bio gas plant.

Our products & services

The Vegeelia factory primarily peels and dices all year round fresh root vegetables (not potatoes) produced in Northern Ostrobothnia. The root vegetables are peeled into 12-24 mm cubes, which are weighed and packaged according to customers’ wishes. In the winter season 2024-2025, the selection includes orange and yellow carrots, kohlrabi, swede, parsnips and onions.
