About us
Lumijoen maa-ja kotitalousseura ry is an active local association dedicated to preserving rural traditions, local food culture and the spirit of doing things together. We use ingredients sourced locally and from the surrounding area whenever possible, while promoting the value and appreciation of local and Finnish food.

Lumijoen Maa- ja kotitalousseura’s perch fillet burger brings locally caught fish into an easy-to-enjoy street food format. The star of the burger is perch caught in Varjakka, Lumijoki, paired with Putaan Pulla’s Sänkkäri potato bun and topped with our own delicious homemade sauce.
The perch fillet burger combines local identity, northern flavours, locally sourced food and a strong sense of community.
The perch fillet burgers will be prepared and sold at the Pöhönä 2026 event in Varjakka, Lumijoki, on Sunday, 6 September, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
