About us
Hätälä is a a fourth-generation family company with one passion: producing the most delicious fish products in the world. Our story began in 1938 with Juho Isohätälä selling fish on the market square right by the sea in Oulu. Over the years, that modest market stand turned into Finland’s leading fish producer, employing over 200 fish-processing professionals.
Our products & services
All our products are produced in Oulu in Northern Finland, using the freshest fish from the coldest arctic waters. We adhere to the highest standards for food safety and quality. Our valued partners include over 400 Finnish professional fishermen who deliver their catches to us for processing. Hätälä’s fish is enjoyed in home kitchens and restaurants throughout Finland and even in Central Europe. Our wide selection of high-quality fish products ranges from fresh fish and fish fillets to traditional Nordic delicacies such as Flamed salmon and effortlessly delicious ready-to-eat products.
